Konya. Konya Fairs company has been
organizing fairs in Konya that provide a
profitable convention venue for those
coming from EuroAsian countries since
2003. Besides its fame in being a grain
silo and an industrial city, Konya has
become also a city of fairs.
Ilhan Ersozlu, General Manager of Tuyap
Konya Fairs company, says that his com-
pany organizes variety of expert fairs
on feed, animal husbandry, agriculture,
metal works, electric, storage, const-
ruction, lifts, heating and cooling and
local management. Fairs held in Konya
hosted about one thousand companies
from 34 countries and coming from 75
provinces of Turkey. He said, “We ma-
naged to attract about 300 thousands
of visitors from 47 countries in 2014, 39%
increase over the same period of last
year.”
Thanks to the new investment realized by
Konya Chamber of Trade, the fair venue,
Tuyap Konya International Fair Center
has become the largest facility in Turkey
with its 66 thousand sqm of covered area
on 20 thousan sqm land. “We believed
that Konya will be the next attraction
center for fairs and exhibitions after
Istanbul, and will host the largest fairs in
their fields in Konya. We thank Governors
of Konya, mayors of greater municipality,
Konya chamber of trade and industry,
vocational chambers, non-governmental
organizations, Kosgeb and participating
and partnering companies and the
media workers for their contribution that
makes Konya a venue of fairs.” he said.
