n 2001, beginning to serve with daily 4,000 pairs of tire
footwear production capacity at Konya Organized
Industrial Zone on an area of 16,000 sq meters outdoor;
7,000 sq meters indoor; in late 2003 Selçuk Kauçuk inves-
ted in additional facilities to produce injection shoes with
PVC sole and slippers, linen shoes with PVC sole, leather
boots and shoes with thermo rubber sole and boots with
rubber sole to raise its capacity daily 8,000 pairs of foo-
twear. Towards late 2008, taking Recycling License from
the Ministry of Environment in worn tires as the 5th facility
in Turkey Selçuk Kauçuk launched the manufacturing of
Rubber Floor Covering products from recycled products
in early 2009.
“As we do our business, we are responsible to economic
and societal entity, to society, sectorial establishments,
our customers and employees, Ali Rıza Dolapoğlu,
Deputy Chairman of the Board, said they regard their
customers environmentally friendly, offering as possible
as high value product, they try to win their esteem and
association. Evaluating quality issue, Dolapoğlu said, “In
our opinion, quality is the most important necessity vehic-
le in order to make a true thing, in true time, while making
correct we fulfill our responsibilities. Quality is a respon-
sibility. “High in quality business, delighted customer” is
our main policy. Producing and offering high in quality
services that foresee customer satisfaction in front plan; in
the scope of defined conditions with our all employees,
in order to meet quality necessities continuously recovery
have been adopted as basic policy. The zero error in
production, satisfied customer, respect to human being,
clean environment, a harmonious working condition is
the main targets of our firm.” Stating that they were pro-
ducing tire and flax shoes, wheels for handcarts, rubber
soles and rubber floor covering, Dolapoğlu responded
our questions.
Q- What do you tell about your production capacity and
investments?
A -Everything related with tire is manufactured by our
firm. With the raw materials obtained we manufacture
8,000 pairs of shoes, 600 sq meters rubber floor covering,
5000 pairs of sole, 3000 units wheels for handcarts.
Q- Would you inform us about manufacturing of rub
ber
floor covering and rubber shoe soles from recycled
materials? What is rate of the turnover of this manufactu-
ring and exports? Will these kinds of projects occur in the
upcoming periods?
A- Our rubber covering products are made of granule
and polymer materials, rubber-based covering which
are applied on outer places for aesthetic, softness and
insulation. The products are used in jogging paths, parks,

Who is Ali Rıza DOLAPOĞLU?
Born in 1978 in Konya, originally from a family in the city of Nevşehir. He comple-
ted his elementary and secondary education in Konya, as for high school in Izmir.
In Istanbul, he completed his university education on business management; in
the United States of America he got certificates about business management, te-
amwork and basic elements, management skill and strategic marketing. Currently,
he is attending to high license study on management and organization. Since 2003
to date, he works administrator in the family companies having two children.
