ince 1970 featuring the first certified touristic hotel

of Konya a 4-star Selçuk Hotel continues to serve to

its guests. Locating in the center of Konya the hotel

offers wide advantages to its guests by maintaining its

improvement. Stating the hotel was established by pas-

sed away Ibrahim Dolapoğlu as Selçuk Palas in 1970, Ali

Rıza Dolapoğlu, Deputy Chairman of Selçuk Hotels, said;

“Selçuk Hotel is located near Alaaddin Hill where features

as the center of Konya and 500 meters to Hz. Mawlana

Museum. It also locates in the region of the historical

works such as Iplikci Mosque, Şerafettin Mosque, Selimiye

Mosque, Sanayi School, İnce Minaret Museum, Karatay

Madrasa, Sırçalı Madrasa. Also our hotel bears importan-

ce in terms of Mawlavi idea regarding locating at a point

called “Merec-el Bahreyn” where Shams-i Tabrizi and

Hz. Mawlana met in Konya.” In 2005, in the scope of the

works all departments including outer décor of the hotel

have been renewed, Dolapoğlu said hotel has main-

tained its services as fitting its own history with boutique

view. The hotel has 80 rooms and 162-bed capacity with

2 restaurants, 2 multi-aimed salons, steam-room and fitness

center.Informing about the new activities, Dolapoğlu said,

“Our second hotel nearby our current hotel, Selçuk Hotel’s

Shams-i Tabrizi branch was launched to host guests as 4-star

in 2011. With 88 rooms and a 171-bed capacity, there are 1

restaurant and 3 multi-aimed salons with foldable roofs and

terrace, 1 movie salon, Turkish bath, sauna, steam-room,

fitness center, business center and indoor auto park for 60

vehicles. In addition to the culture groups from both home

and abroad, regarding growing Turkish economy, our hotel

also hosts the commercial aimed travels in Konya which

features fairs and also being an improvement point of the

exporting local firms in industry. We address to the organi-

zations both in hotel and out of hotel by holding meeting,

education seminar, wedding ceremony, engagement ce-

remony, fast breaking banquet, diners. In order to get rid of

Seltav Poultry does not compromise on quality

In 1990, beginning egg production with 6 million

units/year at the district of Meram, Konya, Seltav

Poultry maintains its activities without compromising

Dolapoğlu said, “Our egg production currently is 80

million units per annum. Our egg production reac-

hes to consumers in market as untouched. Our egg

process conforms to the egg communique and we

benefit from the ISO 22000, ISO 9001 Quality Cont-

rol System which supports the communique. Our

target in egg production is to achieve 300 million

units per annum. As achieving this production our

main objective is to not compromise on quality. As

Seltav we accomplish 800 tons of milk, 100 tons of

meat production per annum.”
