construction of the hydroelectric
power plant took part in the
researches.
Mayor Altay indicating that the rapid
progress of Konya’s most important
investment in the Konya Plain Project
(KPP) said: ’’With KPP, as you know
we supply both the drinking water of
Konya and 414 million cubic meters
of water which will be transferred
to Konya plain through agriculture
dams. In addition, as the directives
of the President of the Republic of
Turkey and as a gift to Konya, we
are currently building a hydroelectric
power plant at the exit of Mavi Tunel.
The tender of 85 million liras for the
25 megawatt hydroelectric power
plant was completed. Hopefully we
are planning to produce electricity
here in April.’’
The Blue Tunnel Hydroelectric Power
Plant will produce electricity that will
meet the needs of a 20 thousand-
household settlement reported
Mayor Altay and he said, “This will
constitute a very important source
of income for KOSKI. We expect
the project to pay off in 5 years.
Within the scope of the KPP, we
supply drinking water of the quality
of spring water to Konya and we will
contribute to KOSKİ economically
with the electrical energy to be
generated from this area. The work
continues intensively”.
Mayor Altay reported that the work
is continuing to complete the Konya
Plain Project. We are currently
following Dedemli’s relocation
process and projects related to the
construction of the second stage
tunnel. Hopefully by the end of 2020
it will be completed and Konya Plain
414 million cubic meters of water will
start to be transferred. I hope it will
beneficial for our city.’’ – He ended.

Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından yapımı
sürdürülen hidroelektrik santralinde
incelemelerde bulundu.
Konya’nın en önemli yatırımı olan
Konya Ovası Projesi’nin (KOP)
hızla ilerlediğini belirten Başkan
Altay, “Bildiğiniz gibi KOP’la hem
Konya’nın içme suyunu karşılıyoruz
hem de tarımsal sulamada 414
milyon metreküp su yapılan
barajlarla Konya ovasına aktarılmış
olacak. Bunun yanında, Sayın
Cumhurbaşkanımızın direktifleri ve
bir Konya hediyesi olarak şu anda
Mavi Tünel çıkışına hidroelektrik
santrali inşa ediyoruz. 25 megavat
gücündeki hidroelektrik santrali
için 85 milyon lira tutarında ihaleler
tamamlandı. İnşallah Nisan ayı
gibi burada elektrik üretmeyi
planlıyoruz” dedi.
Mavi Tünel Hidroelektrik Santralinde
20 bin haneli bir yerleşim yerinin
ihtiyacına tekabül edecek elektrik
üretileceğini kaydeden Başkan
Altay, “Bu, KOSKİ için çok önemli
gelir kaynağı oluşturacak. 5 yıl
içinde projenin kendini amorti
etmesini bekliyoruz. KOP
kapsamında hem Konya’ya memba
suyu kalitesinde içme suyu temin
ediyoruz hem de buradan oluşacak
elektrik enerjisi ile KOSKİ’ye
ekonomik anlamda katkı sağlamış
olacağız. Çalışmalar yoğun bir
şekilde devam ediyor” ifadelerini
kullandı.
Konya Ovası Projesi’nin
tamamlanması için de çalışmaların
devam ettiğini kaydeden Başkan
Altay, “Şu anda Dedemli’nin
taşınma sürecini ve ikinci etap
tünelin yapılması ile ilgili projeleri
takip ediyoruz. İnşallah 2020’nin
sonunda tamamlanmış olacak
ve Konya Ovasına 414 milyon
metreküp suyu aktarmaya başlamış
olacağız. Şehrimize hayırlı olmasını
temenni ediyorum” diye konuştu.
