nka started to produce cheese in 1985 by Nihat

Akpınar, chairman of the board, who has years of

experience in milk industry. In a short time, cheddar,

yogurt, ayran, butter were added to product line. Pow-

der milk was produced in 1988 and whey powder was

the first in Turkey.

What are in your product portfolio?

We produce almost all kinds of dairy products, including

uht milk, juices, white cheese, cheddar, local cheese,

homogenized yogurt, creamy yogurt, ayran, butter,

creams, cream cheese, hazelnut cream, honey, etc sold

in retail shops. Among industrial goods, are milk powder,

whey powder, cheese powder, yogurt powder, lactose,

fruit and vegetable powders. We can also produce for

private brands.

What are your production capacity and production

plants?

We produce in two production lines, namely fresh and

industrial, having highest hygienic structure built on world

technology in our factory of 40 thousand sqm located in

Karatay, Konya. Capacity of industrial line is about 1500

tons’ capacity, in fresh food line can be processed about

450 tons of milk daily.

What can be said about your procurement of inputs?

Input materials are the most important for qualified

production. Milk is our major input on that we are so

sensitive. We buy it from sources in inner Anatolia and in

Mediterranean region. We buy milk collected from about

15 thousand contract farmers in the morning and in the

evening. They were transported by special trucks having

refrigeration. Following the tests they are processed con-
