tinuously. We have plans to have our own farm
for milk production having 3 thousand small and
3 thousand big livestock on 5 million sqm land.
What are the first you realized, and the quality
certificates you have?
We are one of the companies in dairy busi-
ness having R&D unit. We seek new products
that are not produced in Turkey. Whey pow-
der is the first product we produced in Turkey.
Having rich content of proteins, this product
was wasted once in the past. We recycled
it than offer to the market. Feed producers
consume it.
With valuable efforts of our personnel, we
earned and have a number of quality and
process management certifications, including
TS-EN-ISO 9002, TSE HACCP 13001, TSE ISO EN
9000, TSE FSSC 22000, TSE İSG OHSAS TS 18001,
TSE ISO EN 14000, TSE ISO 10002.
I have to add the fact that we have also
have Helal Gida and Kosher certificates
that certify that the production process and
the materials used are in conformity with all
requirement mention in the helal and kosher
standards of related authorities.
Will you give us information about your mar-
ket share in
Turkey and in the region?
We are the leader in industrial products,
milk powder and whey powder. We have
65 % share in this market. In fresh products
category our products are sold through more
than 30 distributors that sell to markets, shops
and delis.
How many people are employed?
We employ 300 people. Besides we hire gra-
duates of food engineering schools either as
personnel or interns.
What is your export markets?
Our milk-based powders are sold to markets
in South East and Central Asia, including Fili-
pinas, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Saudi
Arabia, Yemen, Nigeria. We could not sell our
products to EU countries because of limitati-
ons imposed on milk and milk products.
What was the volume of exports and your
target for 2014?
10 percent of our production is exported. We
increased our exports during 2013 when most
of the markets were in recession. We target to
export 20 % of our annual sales.
We aimed to maximize customer satisfac-
tion and values we have produced for the
market, for our suppliers, and for our staff. We
keep our investments increasing. We will seek
new markets.
What are the problems in dairy business and
your offer for solution?
Problems in the livestock market affect our
business as well. State funds and in-
centives are important to increase milk
production in the country. Price of milk as
an input is higher than the processed milk
sold in Europe. It prevents us to sell more
in export markets.
