The pulpit was embellished with geometric motives (in Kündekari

technique, geometrical shapes).

There were carpets remained from the Seljuk era at Alaeddin

Mosque. The German council J.H.Löyved had found in 1905 and

were sent to Turkish and Islamic Works Museum (Efkaf-I İslamiye Mu-

seum). Besides these carpets, cufic written Qurans were also found

at the mosque.

There are two Seljuk tombs in the yard of Alaeddin Mosque. The

facades of these tombs partly have remained inside of the mosque

regarding enlargement works made in the course of time at the

mosque. Started construction in one of these tombs, but then left

half with an unknown reason. As for the tomb at the eastern side

shows a plan made of cut stone with ten cornered and mum-

mifying under it. Over the tomb was covered by dome through

interior and pyramidal hat outer side. It is understood that in the first

construction of the conical cap there are traces of tiles. There is an

inscription on circle of the conical cap; “Building of this hospice was

ordered by Kılıçarslan, son of Mesut, son of Kılıçarslan”. Based on

this inscription, the tomb is understood that was built in the tenure of

Kılıçarslan II. One of the windows of the mosque, the name of Yusuf,

son of Abdülgaffar, is written.

Sarcophaguses covered with tiles exist at this tomb known by the

sources. In late periods, these tiles were dispersed and dislodged,

most of them lost. There are eight sarcophaguses at the tomb. One

of these sarcophaguses belonged to Kılıçarslan II. Other ones are

not clear belonging to whom.

7.Yerköprü Falls

Yerköprü Falls is in the borders of Hadim district, 110 kiometers to

Konya. In order to go to the Falls, Güneysınır signboard is seen on

the right side as going towards the city of Karaman. After passing

Güneysınır signboard, and Gürağaç district without passing a

small signboard on left side just turn to the Falls road. After passing

Habiller village and then driving as long as 7-8 kilometers, a huge

Falls appears in front of you dropping from 20 meters height running

towards the Mediterranean. If you have curiosity some you can

reach under it. There is also small electric power plant in distance of

300-400 meters.
