ne of the major manufacturer of flour mills in Kon-

ya, Genç Değirmen exports 95% of its production

to 45 countries. A. Kerim Selek, general manager

of the company informed about his company and its ac-

tivities:

What is the history of the company

Genç Değirmen is active in the manufacturing of machi-

nery, equipment, storage and steel construction systems

for flour and semolina mills sin 1990. It produces complete

and turn-key flour milling machinery, a kind of factory

making factory. Besides our main line of about 50 diffe-

rent machinery we provide the most suitable projects in

the field of flour milling businesses. We are even built steel

construction for storage of cereals. The company has

been doing contract works in abroad as well as in Turkey.

We established about 300 complete factories in various

parts of Asia, Europe and Africa. We also offer consul-

tancy services for producing companies to increase their

production, profits and qualities. Our machinery are sold

with two years of product and 10 years of spare parts

supply guarantees.

How was the year 2013?

Our sales were up 15 % and our production capacity by

18 % in 2013. Factory was expandad to 11 thousand sqm.

We expect a 30 % increase in 2014 over the data of 2012.

Opportunities are high in the sector. Financial crisis and

fluctuations in the money markets do not affect us.

Which countries do you export?

95 % of our production sold in export markets, because

domestic market has been fed up. We sell to 45 countries

in four continents. Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Ger-

many, Austria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bulga-

ria, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Georgia, India,

Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Latonia, Mauritania,

Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Po-

land, Russia, Tajikistan, Tunis, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, UAE,

UK, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.

Our target for 2014 is to export 24 million dollars. Since

2007 our company has been growing steadily.

How can you manage this result?

After sales services are important for investment projects.

We follow up our sales contracts from start to the end of

our relations with the customer. We provide maintenan-

ce, services and spare parts supplies to the customers.

This process produces new customers following the suc-

cessful customer services. 80 percent of our new custo-

mers come us on the references of our earlier customers.

We have offices in certain countries that we have more

factories, such as, Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Russia,

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Where we have at
