urkey’s Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Ahmet
Davutoğlu attended a set of inaugura-
tion of the investments made by Konya
Metropolitan Municipality and various estab-
lishments worth TL180 million, in addition to
groundbreaking ceremonies. Stating that the
city of Konya has embraced them every time,
Prime Minister Davutoğlu said, “We came to
shelter to Konya. Be witness Konya, for this rea-
son as long as this body walks in this world will
be only and only at the service of our nation.”
PM Davutoğlu wished the investment worth
TL180 million to be beneficial for Konya.
Fulfilling his first visit to Konya as the Prime
Minister, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu attended
to inauguration ceremonies of Airport Terminal
building, some opening ceremonies of the
facilities of Konya Municipality and various es-
tablishments and groundbreaking ceremony
of Konya Ring Road.
History of Turkey is being rewritten
Speaking at the inauguration and groundb-
reaking ceremonies, Tahir Akyürek, Mayor of
Konya Metropolitan Municipality, stating the
historical city square has hosted 4 big meetin-
gs within 4 months, and said, “Turkey’s history
almost is being rewritten at the square where
Alaaddin Keykubat, Kılçarslan, Sultan Mesut
addressed.”
As the citizens of Konya, they have been
always at the side of the government, Prime
Minister and President, they have become
friends of the road with them, Mayor Akyürek
wishing primarily Konya Ring Road of which
groundbreaking ceremony made, and all
works which inaugurated to be beneficial, he
thanked Prime Minister Davutoğlu on behalf
of Konya people. Recording they had come
to greet primarily Hz. Mawlana and the friends
of Allah that sleep in breast of Konya, PM
Davutoğlu said; “I came to thank with my
all cells and all consciousness. We came to
shelter to Konya. When heavy responsibility,
our nation and history loaded on our shoulders
I sheltered to Allah not to make us embarras-
sed. The second place to shelter is our people,
nation. As long as carrying this heavy trust on
our shoulders, we do not recognize any will
as admissible and acceptable other than our
people’s will. We will work to let this trust to
reach the range, to let the walk inside of the
history up to reach its target.”
Reminding that ruling party, Ak Party gover-
nments, had achieved wide dimensioned
reforms and development progresses, PM Da-
vutoğlu noted the citizens of Konya who know
High Speed-train and Blue Tunnel very well
were the witnesses. Highlighting development
breakthroughs would continue, PM Davutoğlu
wished inaugurations and groundbreaking
ceremonies to be favorable for Konya.
